Job Summary

Distinct is a boutique Property Management firm, a leader in customer service for Homeowner Associations, located in Downtown Santa Cruz. This young firm provides the unique opportunity to fully dive in overseeing Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable for a multitude of Quickbooks companies. Great growth opportunity!

Qualified candidate has a general understanding of GAAP principles, enjoys providing exceptional service to the company clientele and excels when working in a team environment. The environment is fast-paced & complex, so a quick learner with proven time management skills is preferred.

The successful candidate will have a collaborative and friendly work style, be exceptionally well organized, able to effectively multi-task & prioritize, and take initiative.


    • Sound working knowledge of QuickBooks, MS Office, and Gmail
    • AA/AS degree in accounting and 3+ years accounting experience
    • Use journal entries to accrue revenue and expenses
    • Proficient on QuickBooks
    • Be able to accurately manage multiple QuickBooks companies
    • Sound working knowledge of office equipment
    • Problem solving skills and ability to prioritize
    • Detail oriented, neat and well organized
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • PC knowledge a must


    • QuickBooks – A/P, A/R, Client Payments, Deposits
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly & year-end financials
    • Maintain and troubleshoot office equipment as the need arises
    • Work with CPA to prepare annual tax returns
